Silent Saturday

In an effort to promote good sportsmanship, Ridley United Soccer will be observing Silent Saturday on October 20.

On Silent Saturday no coach or parent will be permitted to cheer or yell from the sidelines (clapping is allowed).  Nationwide, children's sporting events have become a screaming match due to over zealous coaches and parents yelling at the players and referees.

By observing Silent Saturday, we are giving the game back to the kids and allowing only them to play, talk and celebrate their accomplishment, while we are only the observers.

We've done this for the last several years and it's great to watch the kids just play the game. Please give them this opportunity to enjoy their youth and this game.
